Shoaib Malik is a captain of the Mirpur Royals Team in KPL 2022. He is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the Pakistan national cricket team and Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL,  Pakistan Super League. The captain of the Pakistan national cricket team was Shoaib Malik from 2007 to 2009.

Inzamam also known as Inzi, is a Pakistani professional cricket coach and former Pakistani cricketer. He is the coach of the Mirpur Royal team in KPL 2022.

Inzamam gained a reputation for being a rather poor runner between the wickets, having been entangled in a number of comical runouts. His batting style ensured his fans from all over the world. He was called

 “the best batsmen in the world.”Now, Inzamam-ul-Haq joined the Tablighi Jqmaait an Islamic missionary organization and made himself an influential personality in Pakistan cricket.

They choose the Royal Blue color for their team. The color Royal Blue has grand associations, it also links with a historical relationship with the British royal family. It often indicates authority, trust, and confidence, thus, it is also used in many uniforms.

The Team logo and the Mark of the eagle have been printed on the left corner of the shirt. The color contrast of black and yellow is used to make the jersey more attractive.

Mr. Adil. Please tell us more about yourself.

I am Adil Waheed, the CEO, and Co-owner of the Mirpur Royals cricket team. I succeed from a business background. We have been in the manufacturing process business for many years.

Apart from looking after our own family business, I am an avid Polo player and am very enthusiastic about sports and cricket.

Other than that, I’m also a Philanthropist and think of giving back to society as much as I can, in order to facilitate good causes and the welfare of others.

How did you end up with Kashmir Premier League and holding the Mirpur Royals team?

A: I have always been into sports, cricket especially has been a passion. I was always fond of playing cricket whenever I got a chance.

When I get this knowledge about KPL, it instantly got my attention. Mainly the reason behind my interest was the word ‘Kashmir’ in the name of the league.

Being Pakistani, I wanted to play my role in any potential to contribute my humble efforts for the cause of Kashmir and also to support Kashmiris.

KPL provided me this chance and I came out obtaining the ownership of Mirpur Royals. I feel extremely proud to represent this great platform and bring this remarkable opportunity to our Kashmiri youth to showcase their talent.

How do you think promoting Kashmir in cricket will generate a great positive image of Pakistan and its cause towards Kashmir?

Kashmir cause is a popular cause. Pakistan has been the voice of Kashmiris at all seminars around the world including the United Nations platform.

KPL will surely be a very effective way to create awareness about Kashmir, its people, and the infinite natural, natural and cultural features which attract visitors from all over the world.

Cricket is played and watched in half of the world and there could be no better forum to promote Kashmiri youth and cricketers internationally other than cricket.

Do you have plans for emphasizing cricketers at the national or international level?

Right now, all my emphasis is on the first edition of KPL and my team. Absolutely the primary objective of Mirpur Royals is to identify talent from Kashmir and expand them to be able to take part in other national and international tournaments.

After the conclusion of the first edition of KPL, our management will compose a strategy and plan for future activities associated with talent hunt and players’ grooming.

How will you describe your team and nominated players?

As you can see, we have selected Shoaib Malik as the iconic player for our team. Shoaib is rated among the top players of T20 and that’s why he is a part of the majority of T20 leagues worldwide.

His experience would be very helpful for all the young players on the team. Also, we have hard-hitting players and world-class, fast bowlers. The emerging players will surely learn from them during the tournament.

“Having a captain of Shoaib Malik’s caliber, I believe the players would learn a lot from his experience.

Malik was leading the side and has tremendous experience in playing Twenty20 leagues all over the world. Also, we have Pakistan’s international players such as Sharjeel Khan, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Irfan, and a couple more.

However, our primary focus and intention were to pick young talent from Kashmir. So we have got some promising young players from Kashmir,” he told APP.

Waheed said,  “Inzamam ul Haq, the coach of Mirpur Royals has been instrumental in developing the strategy and leading the preparations.

“We are so lucky to have Inzamam with us as a coach and he has already made his impact on the team and enabling the players to prepare for the tournament.”

KPL will give commendation to the young local talent by providing them a bigger platform to show their abilities to be known at the national and international levels.

This tournament will bring a positive and vital impact and will let them showcase their civilization and hospitality to the tourists and guests coming from different parts of Pakistan and from other countries,” he said.

“KPL is showcasing the beautiful land of breathtaking valleys and tremendous potential of youth and local cricketers,” 

He said “Khaylo Azadi Se”.

Waheed said after the tournament was over the committee would sit together to determine a way forward for the players’ development and grooming.
