Mayank Agarwal has been disclosed as the new captain of Punjab Kings, just under a month from the start of the 2023 edition of the IPL on March 26. “I have been in Punjab Kings since 2018 and I take a lot of pride in characterizing this fantastic unit.

Flower stepped down from his role in PBKS, in the first days of December and is expected to join the Sanjiv Goenka-owned franchise.

Also, the former captain of PBKS, KL Rahul, is expected to move to the Lucknow team before the IPL 2023.

Batting coach 

Wasim Jaffer has been a crucial part of the PBKS support staff as batting coach, which he joined in 2019 when he had evolved the first player to feature in 150 Ranji matches.

He had joined Anil Kumble, that is the director of cricket operations and head coach at the franchise. PBKS also has Damien Wright as the bowling coach and Jonty Rhodes as the fielding coach.

Fielding coach

Finally, the Punjab Kings’ jersey for the 2023 Indian Premier League season has been revealed. The franchise will be seen dorning a red jersey with golden stripes for this season, opting for a different, extraordinary design for this new-look team. 

The main color for the jersey will continue to be red, with golden stripes forming the horizons of the design, while the crest of a lion will also be shown below the primary sponsor logos.
